Sensitiveness: Thou Shalt Not Snivel

I truly have to on some days force myself to abide by LIVE AND LET LIVE, but far too often, people prefer to beat people over the head with love & kindness.

Ignis aurum probat, miseria fortes homines

Speaking our truth should be unhindered, no matter who says it. Since when is it even possible to say something in a way that pleases everyone? Seems like many, maybe most people are suffering from acute Sensitiveness. Guess what, the word Sensitiveness is no longer in the Webster dictionary. Or at least not the last few times I checked. I heard the word during a reading in a Big Book Study Group and asked for the definition of someone suffering from Sensitiveness. The dictionary was a huge, old Webster.
Here Sensitiveness is in The Chapter to the Agnostic: “Besides a seeming inability to accept much on faith, we often found ourselves handicapped by obstinacy, sensitiveness, and unreasoning prejudice.”
I did find a few definitions in an online search, though.

I have zero interest in fighting people over opinions. I just don’t much like bullying behavior and I see it going on more and more these days. But on the other hand, happiness is a choice.

No one can steal my laughter any more than someone can steal the thunder from the stormy sky. It’s just natural. But maybe bullying is natural, too. LOL! My martial arts trainer said I’ll never be good at Martial Arts or chess because I don’t have the killer instinct. He was right. I hate seeing people suffering because of anything I have done, but I can’t go through life wiping their poopy butts and changing their diapers, either. I have my own diapers to change and that’s hard enough as it is.
