Miracles might not be for the people who believe in them, but rather, for those that don't. Christ didn't come for those who believe. Perhaps he didn't walk on water for those that 'believed' it was possible (fear was bigger than belief at the moment Peter started sinking).
When Peter fixed his eyes on Christ, he climbed out of the boat and walked, albeit briefly. When he removed his eyes from Christ and looked at the water, that's when fear set in.
Fortunately, Christ had enough faith for two and lifted him up.
There are Ripple Effects, to be sure, one miracles coming from another miracle. It was a miracle that people could love me until I could love myself. Me, the racist, killer, crazy reactive angry man who was abused.
The Greatest Miracle in my life was probably (I say 'probably' because I don't see the value in the comparative analysis, like miracles great and small really differ) occurred without request, expectation, nor immediate comprehension as to what happened. Receiving the Gift of the Holy Spirit IN PRISON (the Holy Spirit didn't have to get on my Visiting List) happened while I was loving God with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Truly the only prison is the one we construct for ourselves. I've seen men in prison who we more free than people in the so-called Free World. To some extent, prison was my Monastery and my MADD is my Ministry.
I wrote about receiving the Holy Spirit in the chapter 'Spiritual Phylactery, Portal for the Holy Spirit'. I might have received the Holy Spirit and I am immeasurably grateful, but like most gifts, they are meant to be given to others. They are not mine.
God makes the sun to shine on us all, true enough. I was just writing about a random meditation I had when I posted the walking on water thing on Facebook yesterday. I knew it was missing a lot of ripples of information, but I was not attempting to be comprehensive.
There is no such thing as reality, there is only perception. Where perception comes from, when we get out of the way, is a spiritual awareness that we've all been walking on water our whole lives, even when we were ragging on ourselves or someone else.
Through Discernment, I've seen Christ in the bottom of the Heart Well of an Atheist.
We don't see things as they are, but as we are (Talmud).
I've noticed when I take my eyes off of Love (God is Love), EGO (Edging God Out) focuses on FEAR (False Evidence Appearing Real), and fear is not of God.
Here's the Key to bringing about the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, and it is twofold in its childlike innocence: 1) Love, and 2) Only Love. God talks to us all differently, hoping we'll tell each other.
