Fear not those who can kill the body...Isaiah 51:7-13
Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their reviling.
Fear of humans and their trappings is separation from God's Law of Unity through Forgiveness. Living with peace in one's heart is always harder than dying for it.
Loving our enemies is a Gateway to Heaven, the proverbial "Inside Job". Clean the inside of the cup and then spread the Kingdom of Peace.
While reading about more church bombings in Africa, sadly I admit that it occurred to me that the West has weapons that could raze the enemy and make them disappear forever, but that is making weapons of war our god.
But then I used to live by this scripture before loving my enemies: Jeremiah 51:20, but then followed Christ's command instead, to love enemies, forgive them, turn the other cheek, etc. If I am to live or die I leave to God.
This might sound entirely dismal or something (cynical?), but I suspect Mother Earth would miss the extinction of bees over the extinction of humanity, at least in their current state of toxicity.
